Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most famous roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school when her parents split up to move in Los Angeles to live with her mother. She was struggling to get by when she got her first part in the acting world in Rachel's Room's leading character. The role she played as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. film Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, a character in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace would like to be more prominently in film having played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) on Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of these roles. Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two episodes, including the series final. The actress was featured in 2013's seventh season Californication. The actress portrays Faith as a female groupie and also a model for actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the sister to Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens she appeared in small roles in films made by her father. She also she co-starred alongside her twin brother on Donnie Darko which is a famous cult film. She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and in the love story Secretary (2002). Both movies were critically acclaimed. The actress gained more attention after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in the year the year 2006. The year 2009 was the time she was recognized for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Oscar Awards for her performance of a single mother in Crazy Heart. In the following years she appeared in comedy as well as dramatic movies: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. In addition, she played the role of a Secret Service Agent in White House Down the action thriller that was released in 2013. She also played she was a musician in Frank (2014) and the lead role in The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama that was released in the year of 2018. Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
