Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actor, known for her roles in films Beta Saajan and the film Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! In the 1980s, she made her debut in acting and gained a lot of attention for her role of Tezaab where she was portrayed by an established actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she starred in the film Dil with whom she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance from an early age. In her teens she started acting, but suffered through a number of years due to the fact that her first films were failures. However, she eventually achieved success and went on to become one of the most prominent actors in the Indian industry of film. Following her wedding her husband died, she took time to rest from her acting career prior to returning. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received 15 nominations at the Filmfare Awards. She won eight of them. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. Her fame is based on her involvement in social work too.
