MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He collaborated alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he also performed an duet with the TINI streaming hit single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a family of musicians the mother of his younger brother and father have been musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. As a child he learned to play saxophone guitar as well as piano and ukulele. The first goal was to be a vet, but after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with an Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
