She made her feature film debut in the independent film Damsels in Distress, as an unimportant character. Her breakthrough came in 2012, after she was cast as a new surgical intern Cassandra Kopelson and the series' primary antagonist, in the CW medical comedy-drama series Emily Owens, M.D. The show was cancelled after just one season in 2013. Then, she appeared on The Onion Presents The News comedy pilot on Amazon Studios.
